The UMBC Alumni Association is governed by a Board of Directors who meet to discuss matters of interest to all alumni, including planning events and raising funds for the association and the university. Board members serve two-year terms and are expected to attend the Board meetings and serve on one or more committees.
Any UMBC alumna/us or faculty/staff member may recommend candidates to the Nominating Committee for consideration.
To be considered, nominees should demonstrate:
- Active involvement as an alumna/us in alumni activities or in the advancement of UMBC
- Willingness to serve on committees of the Alumni Association
- Involvement with UMBC as a student
- Financial support of the university
